About the event
As part of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "Day of Service", the brothers of the Upper Marlboro/Waldorf (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. are proud to support the National Capital Baptist Convention (NCBC) of D.C., Prince George County Council Member At-Large Mel Franklin, and the Beltway Plaza Mall in their efforts to feed the community.
At this event, volunteers will give out free turkey and ham dinners to our neighbors in need (note: frozen turkeys and hams and related vegetables will be packaged for residents to prepare them on their own later; no onsite cooking will occur). This is a great opportunity to support your local community and High school students can receive credit for volunteer hours. Children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult.
To register as a family in need and pre-register to receive a ham or turkey dinner between 11AM-2PM on MLK Day, please go to https://tinyurl.com/ncbc-feed-the-hungry-recipient.
